Point Park men's soccer wins at Westminster, 4-1, with big second half

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Point Park University men's soccer team scored three goals in the second half of its 4-1, non-conference victory at Westminster (Pa.) College Thursday night.
It was the first road win of the year for the Pioneers (3-4-1, 0-0 KIAC), who were tied, 1-1, at the half with Westminster (5-6).
But Point Park turned up the attack the last 45 minutes with a 9-1 advantage in shots and a 3-0 edge on the scoreboard the second half.
Cristian Mika, a sophomore midfielder from Brazil, got the game-winning goal just 2:17 into the second half. Troy Dolanch, a freshman forward from Carroll Twp., Pa., and Ringgold High School, scored the final two goals in the 66th and 90th minutes.
Point Park captain Jonty Loukes had a goal and an assist, and he gave the Pioneers an early lead just 2:41 into the game. Max Flick set up the goal on a free kick.
Westminster tied things up at 1-1 on Ethan McCarthy's sixth goal of the year in the 25th minute. Point Park's Khaled Zena picked up an assist on Dolanch's final goal.
Point Park led in shots, 15-11, and Pioneers goalkeeper Derrik Whiten made four stops with just the one goal against.
