The Rowland School of Business is seeking an Assistant Professor of Information Technology for a tenure-track position.  Candidates should possess teaching experience and/or professional experience in software development and programming.  Successful candidates will have expertise in one or more of the following fields:  databases, business analytics, networking, and/or security.  Candidates with teaching experience and a terminal degree in Information Technology or a related field are preferred.

The selected candidate will teach in Point Park’s IT Program which was revamped in fall 2015.  It introduced a new curriculum that offers a well-rounded Information Technology degree including courses in databases, networking and security, programming, and business analytics.  Because software is ‘eating the world’ and is the main driver behind automation, there is a strong focus on the practical side of software development. This is exemplified through student projects that contribute value to the community.

Candidates should submit a cover letter, a statement of teaching philosophy, and curriculum vitae (including the names and contact information of three references).  The cover letter should address how the candidate’s professional experiences relate to the needs of this position at Point Park University.

Qualified applicants should forward a cover letter and resume via email to HROffice@pointpark.edu (preferred) or mail to:
