Assistant Professor- Musical Theatre

The Theatre Department in the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University is seeking a full time assistant/associate professor specializing in musical theatre. This is a maximum three year visiting professor appointment beginning in the fall of 2018. A terminal degree preferred. (MFA in Musical Direction, MM) The ideal candidate will have experience teaching at the collegiate level and professional experience as a music director, excellent piano and arranging skills, extensive knowledge of and experience in musical theater repertoire and vocal styles, professional theatre and the audition process. Additional duties include advising, university and departmental committee service. We seek a colleague to join a group of collaborative faculty, staff, and students. Our conservatory training program is a rigorous training program for the professional singer/actor/dancer with a sequence of studies focusing on individual artistic development and acquiring professional skills.
