REPORTS TO:  Assistant Provost                    

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree. 5 or more years as Head Registrar at comparably sized institution or 5 plus years of progressive Registrar responsibilities at larger institution. Deep knowledge of registrar technology is a must.  Interest in developing and implementing University-wide academic policy, as it pertains to the Office, is essential. Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with organizational and strategic planning experience. 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Provide leadership to plan, organize, and manage all of the activities related to the Office of the University Registrar, including serving as the official authorized keeper of the University's student records.

Point Park University seeks a future-oriented, collaborative thinker to serve as the Registrar. This person will play a major role in developing comprehensive strategies that enable the Office to perform its role in a student-centered and efficient way. An ideal candidate will have robust interpersonal skills, technical and analytic adeptness, strategic vision, a knowledge of nation-wide trends and best practices, and a desire to work in a diverse, evolving, dynamic urban institution.

DUTIES: In addition to the usual duties of a University Registrar, Point Park’s Registrar will

  1. Hire, supervise and evaluate the Office of the University Registrar staff.
  2. Develop robust academic policy in the areas of student records, transcripts, student success, and other functions of the Office.
  3. Solve problems related to student records, transcripts, and other Registrar functions.
  4. Provide strategic leadership and develop appropriate recommendations for the implementation of related technology application in support of enhanced services offered through the Office of the University Registrar.
  5. Organize and administer the records, registration and graduation functions, including transcript evaluations, in order to provide maximum service to students while ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
  6. Update and produce course schedules (class and final examination schedules) and catalogs in conjunction with the Office of Academic Affairs and specific Schools. Lead in scheduling optimization that works with the University’s course sequences. 
  7. Assign classroom space in a manner that makes efficient use of the University’s resources.

Salary commensurate with experience.
