Point Park University Brewing Academy Diversity Scholarship

The District Pittsburgh Chapter MBAA is proud to continue the Point Park University Brewing Academy Diversity Scholarship. The District Pittsburgh Chapter has partnered with Point Park University to offer two (2) full tuition, single use scholarships for the Brewing Science Academy. The brewing academy is a continuing education opportunity with a focus on promoting brewing as a career by fostering an intense interest in the science and art of brewing. 

The District Pittsburgh MBAA is dedicated to supporting educational and professional opportunities and taking proactive steps to advance diversity, equity and inclusion in the brewing industry. These scholarships have been designed to promote diversity, inclusiveness, and equity for all without regard to gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation or physical ability within Pittsburgh’s brewing industry.

 

2022 Fueled By Hops
Point Park University Brewing Academy Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship

Fueled By Hops has partnered with Point Park University to offer one (1) full-tuition, single-use scholarship for the Brewing Science Academy. The brewing academy is a continuing education opportunity with a focus on promoting brewing as a career by fostering an intense interest in the science and art of brewing. 

Billed as “A community for craft beer nerds.” the brand connects craft beer consumers to other beer fans and producers via it’s network of craft beer-focused communities and brands.

Tuesday, February 15: Applications Open
Sunday, March 27: Applications Close

Tuesday, March 29: Application Status Provided. Finalists Notified. 
Friday, April 1: Finalist Interviews Conducted by MBAA District Pittsburgh Board Members
Tuesday, April 5: (2) Scholarship Winners Announced

Monday, May 16: Brewing Academy Starts


Eligibility Requirements
Applicants will need to be 21 years of age or older by the program start date and a legal resident of the United States. Underrepresented applicants including those identifying as an ethnic and/or racial minority, women, and members of the LBGTQIA2S+ community will be given special consideration.

Applicants must be seeking admission and be available to attend the 2022 Brewing Science Academy at Point Park University. No travel expenses are included. 

  • Begins: May 16, 2022 | Ends: July 20, 2022 | 10 weeks total
  • Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Format: On-Ground at Point Park University | Downtown Pittsburgh, PA

Applicants must exhibit leadership, professionalism and a strong desire to be active in the brewing community.
