Alumni Association Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Candidates must demonstrate academic promise or continual improvement
Eligibility:
- Full- or part-time student who demonstrates an underrepresented population
- Demonstrates financial need
- If no one fits these criteria, other candidates may be considered on but not limited to GPA or other university accomplishments
Bocchi Family Student Emergency Fund
Purpose: to support emergency needs – from tuition, to fees, to living and life expenses – of undergraduate students enrolled at Point Park
Eligibility:
- Fulltime undergraduate student
- Demonstrated emergency financial need
Jon A. and Donna L. Boscia Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Full or part time student
- Has financial need
- At least C+ average
Tatyana Dumova Scholarship
The purpose of the Fund is to provide a deserving rising sophomore, junior, or senior at Point Park University with an academic year scholarship.
Eligibility:
- Status: Full-time
- Department: Any, University-wide
- Awarded for achieving academic success while facing adversity
- GPA of 2.7 or higher
Anthony J. Dyda Sr. Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Rising junior or rising senior
- Declared major in Psychology
- Resident of Allegheny County and preference shall be given in the following order: (1) North Hills area, (2) Southside area, (3) Allegheny County.
- Applicants must show evidence of academic ability such as GPA, national test scores and any other criteria deemed appropriate by the committee
Eberly Family Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Undergraduate or graduate student who demonstrates superior academic achievement and good moral character
- Demonstrates financial need
- First preference is to students from Fayette County, followed by students from Greene and Washington counties
Thomas W. Golonski Family Undergraduate Scholarship
Eligibility Preferences:
- Non-traditional undergraduate
- Student with a minimum GPA of 3.5 (A grade point average of 3.3 or above must be maintained throughout award period.)
- Must have completed at least 12 credit hours at Point Park
- Demonstrate financial need
Dolores Haberle Scholarship
Purpose: to provide a deserving student athlete with an academic year scholarship annually in the amount of $1,000.
Eligibility:
- Full-time undergraduate
- Participating in intercollegiate athletics
- Must demonstrate integrity and leadership skills
- Must be inspirational to their teammates, exhibit a winning attitude, and act as a good ambassador for Point Park on and off the field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
William Randolph Hearst Foundation Scholarship for Low-Income Students
Eligibility:
- Full-time or part-time student
- Intends to reside permanently in the United States after graduation
- Demonstrates financial need
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
John V. Hopkins Alumni Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Fulltime rising junior or rising senior
- Minimum cumulative QPA of 3.5
- Not restricted to any major
Richard P. Simmons Family Foundation Scholarship
Purpose: to honor and award an outstanding student
Eligibility:
- Full or part time student
- Demonstrates Financial Need
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Preference shall be given to students residing in Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio and Northern Virginia
- In the event that student meets all of the eligibility criteria, the committee may award the scholarship to another full or part time student in need.
Nancy and Milton Washington Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Full-time undergraduate student
- Demonstrate financial need
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Application packet will be forwarded to the NAACP for selection
- Two letters of recommendation, one from a current Point Park professor and one from a non-family member not affiliated with Point Park
- 500-word essay on a topic to be provided
- Transcript of grades from the past year
Alfred Brooks Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Open to all COPA majors
Chester Brown Scholarship
Eligibility:
- COPA student from the Louisville, Kentucky, area
Dr. Paul S. and Gertrude F. Caplan COPA Scholarship
Purpose: To provide a scholarship for one academic year to a student with an outstanding academic record and with financial need
Eligibility:
- Full-time rising sophomore, junior or senior in theatre, musical theatre or dance
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Recipients may reapply for subsequent awards, provided the student continues to meet the eligibility criteria
Don Craig Performing Arts Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Rising junior or senior COPA majors
- Based on financial need
Loti G. Falk Dance Scholarship
- To be awarded to a dance student focusing on ballet
Karen L. Haberle Endowed Scholarship
Purpose: To provide a deserving undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior in the Conservatory of Performing Arts with an academic year scholarship
Eligibility:
- Full-time undergraduate in COPA
- Have attained sophomore, junior, or senior year status
- GPA 3.5 of higher
- Preference shall be given to high-achieving students in the performing arts.
- Candidates should demonstrate intangible attributes of perseverance, integrity, leadership and service to others as demonstrated by success in the classroom, a commitment to others, volunteering, and leadership within COPA, a team, or a student organization, or in the classroom.
- Award recipient eligible to receive the award for additional years, as long as they continue to meet eligibility requirements.
Gracie Miller Scholarship
Purpose: To provide a deserving student an annual scholarship
Eligibility Preferences:
- FT or PT Musical Theatre major
- Has financial need
- The selected student may receive the award annually as long as they continue to meet the eligibility requirements
Sam Miller Scholarship
Purpose: To provide a deserving student an annual scholarship
Eligibility Preferences:
- FT or PT Cinema and Digital Arts major
- Has financial need
- The selected student may receive the award annually as long as they continue to meet the eligibility requirements
Richard Rauh Theatre Award
Purpose: to honor and award an outstanding student in COPA
Eligibility:
- Rising junior or senior
- Majoring in theatre, musical theatre or technical theatre
- GPA of 2.5 or above
- A student that demonstrates outstanding professional promise in the field of theatre
Starmakers: Rising Star Award
Purpose: to provide three deserving seniors in each COPA department who demonstrate need and professional potential with a one-time award
Eligibility:
- One award to a rising senior in Theatre, Dance and Cinema Arts
- Demonstrate need
- Professional potential
Ron Tassone Scholarship
Purpose: To provide a deserving student with a one-year scholarship
Eligibility:
- Full-time rising junior or senior
- Majoring in jazz dance or musical theatre with a dance minor
- Demonstrates financial need
- GPA of 3.0 or above
Huth Technologies LLC Endowed Scholarship for Engineering Excellence
Purpose: To provide a deserving student with an academic year scholarship annually
Eligibility:
- Full- or part-time, rising junior or senior
- Majoring in engineering
- Non-traditional
- Demonstrates financial need
- Once selected, the award recipient shall be eligible to receive this award up to seven additional semesters, as long as they continue to meet the eligibility requirements.

Robert F. Gonda Engineering Student Need-Based Fund
Purpose: award to engineering students annually based on financial need
Eligibility:
- Preference shall be given to a full or part-time student majoring in engineering
- Demonstrates financial need.
- If no one majoring in engineering fits the criteria other student candidates within Natural Sciences, Engineering and Technology may be considered based on financial need determined by the Director of Financial Aid.

The Cavs Legion GC Scholarship (not endowed)
Purpose: is to provide a deserving student from the Northeast Ohio region with an academic year scholarship.
Eligibility Preferences:
- Full-time, incoming or continuing undergraduate student
- School/Major: Rowland School of Business
- From the Northeast Ohio region
- GPA: minimum of 3.0
- An interest in game design and/or pursuing a degree in marketing and sales.
- Demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.
CAVU Leadership Award
Purpose: To provide a deserving student enrolled within the Department of Management within the Rowland School of Business with an academic scholarship yearly to offset academic expenses to include tuition, room and board.
Eligibility:
- Full-time student
- Enrolled in a program in the Department of Management within the Rowland School of Business
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Rising sophomore, junior or senior
- The student recipient should possess an authentic interest in increasing one’s leadership capacity
Deloitte Academic Enhancement Fund
Purpose: to provide two deserving students each with an equal one-time award to offset academic expenses above and beyond tuition, room and board.
Eligibility:
- Full or part-time second-year student
- Majoring in accounting
- Demonstrates financial need
- 3.2 GPA or higher
- Recipient to receive a form of campus credit to purchase books or other supplies needed at the University Bookstore or through University purchasing.
- First-year recipients (awarded as high school seniors) are eligible to receive this award for a second consecutive year as long as they continue to meet the eligibility criteria.
First National Bank Scholarship (not endowed)
Purpose: To provide a deserving student who is majoring in human resources, and has an interest in working in the financial services sector, with an academic year scholarship.
Eligibility Preferences:
- Full-time incoming or continuing undergraduate student within the Business School
- Majoring in Human Resources
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Demonstrated Financial Need
- Interest in working in the financial services sector
Froehlich/Roteman Scholarship
Purpose: to assist deserving students in accounting at Point Park who have demonstrated academic excellence, personal maturity, and career motivation exemplified by Mr. Froehlich.
Eligibility:
- Accounting majors who have demonstrated academic excellence, personal maturity and career motivation
- Successfully completed two years in the accounting program
- GPA 3.25 or higher
- Demonstrates financial need
George Marin Information Technology and Business Scholarship
Purpose: to provide tuition support for one academic year to an Information Technology and/or Business undergraduate student with an outstanding academic record and with financial need
Eligibility:
- Full-time undergraduate majoring in Information Technology and/or a major within the Business School
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Minimum of 30-course hours completed
- Demonstrated Financial Need
- Recipients may reapply for consecutive years provided the student continues to meet the eligibility criteria
Norma Miller Scholarship
Purpose: To provide a deserving student with an annual scholarship of $2,500 a year
Eligibility:
- Full or part-time student
- Enrolled in the School of Business
- Demonstrates financial need
Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Scholarship
Purpose: To provide scholarships to current Point Park University students with demonstrated financial need in the Rowland School of Business and who have an interest in radio or TV broadcast media. Relevant career paths in broadcasting include reporting, on-air announcing, event management, promotions, sales, accounting, production, social media, and more. Eligibility:
- Preference is given to current Point Park University students
- GPA of 3.0 preferred (or lower with proven broadcast media experience and/or substantial school/community involvement)
- Must be a Pennsylvania resident and able to demonstrate financial need
Frank Sinatra Memorial Scholarship
Purpose: To provide a scholarship for one academic year to an outstanding undergraduate student in the Sport, Arts & Entertainment (SEAM) program in the School of Business with financial need
Eligibility:
- Full-time SAEM student
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Preference to students from western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and northern West Virginia
- Applicant must be an active member of the SEAM Majors Club
Steven B. Stein Scholarship
Purpose: To assist deserving students who plan to attend or are in attendance at Point Park
Eligibility:
- Children of current and previous Allied Security employees
- Preference to a business major
- Minimum GPA of 2.8
- Recipients can receive the scholarship in successive years as long as eligibility is maintained
Richard B. Tucker Memorial Scholarship
Purpose: To provide an academic year scholarship for an outstanding student
Eligibility:
- Full- or part-time student in the School of Business
- Demonstrated financial need
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
Milton A. Washington Scholarship
Purpose: To provide a deserving first-year or sophomore undergraduate student with an academic year scholarship annually.
Eligibility:
- Full-time accounting major
- Demonstrates financial need
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- A minority student with exceptional financial need
- A student with an interest in entrepreneurship and/or information technology
- The recipient is eligible to receive the award up to seven additional semesters as long as they continue to meet the eligibility requirements.
Andrew Bernhard Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility:
- For journalism students
Myron Cope Scholarship for Journalism and Mass Communication
Eligibility:
- Full-time undergrad
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Minimum of 45 earned credits
- With an interest in sports journalism and broadcasting
- Applicants having experience in college media and/or memberships in departments professional clubs and organizations is a benefit.
Vincent LaBarbera Scholarship
Purpose: to honor students who most exemplify the qualities Professor LaBarbera stressed during his department chairmanship, teaching career and private life.
Eligibility:
- Undergraduate students in journalism or communications
- Completed at least one semester of work at Point Park
- Minimum GPA of 3.3
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Scholarship
Purpose: to provide an outstanding student with an academic year scholarship and an internship at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Eligibility:
- Full time rising junior or senior
- Student in the School of Communication
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Applicants must have completed the COMM311 practicum course
- Junior scholarship recipients may reapply for a senior year award provided the student continues to meet the eligibility criteria.
William Schmid Jr. Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Rising sophomore, junior or senior
- Majoring in journalism with a minor in any of the social sciences (history, political science, criminal justice, economics)
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
Kathleen Bland Smith Memorial Graduate Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Graduate student in journalism or communications
- At least 18 credits completed
- Applicants will have proven scholarship in the program, professional motivation and probable success in the communications field.
Margy Snyder Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Full-time rising junior or senior
- Broadcast majors concentrating in radio and/or television
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
William J. Thomas Scholarship
Eligibility:
- For rising seniors in journalism
Dr. Rosemarie E. Cibik Scholarship
Purpose: to provide a deserving student with an academic year scholarship annually.
Eligibility:
- Full- or part-time student
- Majoring in education
- Demonstrates financial need
- The awardee is eligible to receive the award for seven additional semesters as long as they still meet the eligibility requirements above.
Vernon Schnare Scholarship
Purpose: to provide a deserving student with an academic year scholarship annually
Eligibility:
- Full- or part-time student
- Majoring in secondary education with a concentration in citizenship
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Demonstrates financial need
- Once selected, the award recipient shall be eligible to receive this award up to seven additional semester, as long as they continue to meet the eligibility requirements.
