Program Excellence

A Strategic Driver of Pioneer Vision 2030

Point Park will commit to industry- and community-immersed programs that leverage the strengths of our urban setting and offer unique student experiences.

Goals

Goals for the strategic initiative of program excellence include:

  • Become the market leader in the areas of arts, entertainment and media by creating links between the Conservatory and our other five schools with new majors and minors.
  • Enhance program quality and relevance.
  • Enhance curriculum requirements.
  • Infuse experiential learning activities such as co-ops, internships, real-life project work and field study work across all curricula and modalities.
  • Create pathways for entrepreneurial studies and relevant credentials across all schools.
  • Create an Institute of Community Engagement to include urban studies, planning and renewal and become thought leaders for urban transformation, possibly creating an urban studies or urban planning academic program.
  • Expand Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in academic curricula and student learning experiences.
