Point Park Presidential Search Community Update

Dear Point Park University Community,

I am pleased to inform you that we have officially launched the search for Point Park’s next President!

Over the past month, the Presidential Search Committee has worked hard to define the profile of the ideal candidates for this position. To accomplish this, a series of “listening sessions” were conducted with key Point Park constituents, including students, staff, faculty, trustees, and alumni. In those meetings, excellent input was provided about the university’s agenda for the next president, and the preferred candidate qualifications and qualities.

These insights were used to develop the Presidential Leadership Profile, which will be the principal resource used by our search consultants at WittKieffer to proactively recruit candidates. This document is public information, and can be viewed via the direct link on this page, where you also will find a list of Search Committee members. The Search Committee is very pleased with the compelling case this makes for the University and the opportunities for the next President to build on President Hennigan’s record of accomplishments.

Over the next few months, we will be posting updates on our process and progress. It is the intent of the Search Committee to begin interviewing candidates in late February/early March and present finalists to the Board shortly thereafter. Our hope is that we can celebrate the appointment of our next President by late spring of next year.
