Background

Hanjin Park is a director and editor whose work spans feature films, television, commercials and music videos. His most recent project, the TV movie The Messenger Has Arrived (2025), premiered on Korean cable television and is now streaming across major platforms in Korea. His debut feature, Ruby (2020), premiered at the 24th Busan International Film Festival before receiving a theatrical release.

Park's short films have screened at more than 40 film festivals worldwide and have been distributed through Apple TV. Beyond narrative fiction filmmaking, he has created projects for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Sesame Street, GNC, AARP and leading record labels in Japan and Korea.

His work has earned the Jim Morrison Award, the Bill Lee Memorial Award and the Motion Picture Association of America Prize for Excellence in Filmmaking. He was also among the first two filmmakers selected for the Minority Fellowship at Bad Robot Productions, led by J.J. Abrams.

Park is currently working on a dance film entitled Equilibrium: Stay Bodies, which examines conflict and balance into a two-body exchange of tension and reflection. The project is slated for release in late 2026.
