Ballet concentration students in the Department of Concert Dance learn from experienced faculty and artists who have studied and performed with major ballet schools and companies throughout the U.S. and abroad. Our students develop a solid foundation in classical ballet technique, along with classes in pointe, variations, ballet repertoire, and pas de deux. Performance opportunities include classical repertoire, and works by 20th century masters and contemporary ballet choreographers.
The full-time faculty have danced with professional ballet companies around the world, and guest artists and choreographers regularly come to campus to conduct master classes and workshops.

Dance students interested in expanding their career options in the business, communication or education fields can explore our fast-track master's programs:
- B.F.A. in dance and an M.Ed. in Pre-K through 4th grade in 4 ½ years
- B.F.A. in dance and an M.Ed. in Pre-K through 12th dance education certification in 4 ½ years
- B.F.A. in dance and an M.A. in public relations, advertising and social media in 4 years
- B.F.A. dance + MBA in 4 years
