Background
Lloyd Culbreath is a choreographer, director, Broadway repetiteur, dancer, actor, singer, writer and a former musical theatre artist with over 40 years of experience. Most recently, Culbreath worked with the Radio City Rockettes and the Lucia Marthas Institute for the Performing Arts in Amsterdam.
Some of Culbreath's Broadway and touring credits include Chita Rivera: The Dancer's Life, On the Town, Man of La Mancha, Chicago, Sophisticated Ladies, among others. Additionally, he choreographed and designed costumes for the Stage Door Theatre's production of The Wiz, directed Revolution at The Joyce Theater and created a choreographed presentation with Tesla for New York's Auto Show.
During his career, Culbreath worked with the legendary Bob Fosse and Ms. Gwen Verdon. He has been the lead reconstructor for The Verdon Fosse Legacy restaging repertoire and teaching Fosse master classes in the U.S. and abroad.
Culbreath has shared the stage with Chita Rivera, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Gregory Hines, Anne Hathaway, Nathan Lane, Eugene Levy, Christine Baranski, Martin Short, Paula Kelly, Harold Nicholas, Hinton Battle and Patti Lupone.
He's worked with choreographers and directors including Tommy Tune, Michael Kidd, Kathleen Marshall, Rob Marshall, George C. Wolfe, Jerry Zaks, Graciela Daniele, Hal Prince, Michael Smuin, Chet Walker, Anne Reinking, Christopher Chadman, Danny Daniels, Vivian Matalon, Henry Le Tang, Gene Foote and Ernie Flatt.
Culbreath has a variety of projects in development as a choreographer, director and writer and is collaborating on an international dance streaming platform.
