Ted Black

Ted oversees alumni affairs and development, external relations, and strategic initiatives. A Pittsburgh native, Black earned a B.A. from Allegheny College and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Prior to joining Point Park in 2023, Ted spent six years as president and CEO of the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts in Harrisburg, completing some of the most transformative projects in the Center’s history, such as the PNC Innovation Zone, a nationally recognized learning lab that uses video games as a platform for educational and vocational development. Black previously spent many years as part of the Pittsburgh Penguins’ core management team hired by Mario Lemieux. He also was vice president and general manager for Regional Sports Network FSN Pittsburgh before leaving the area to become president of the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres.
David Bush

David comes to Point Park after 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and community development in Pittsburgh. He is tasked with developing long-term relationships with alumni, donors and prospects, along with coordinating efforts in annual giving, alumni relations and planned giving to support the overall success and growth of Point Park and continued development in Downtown Pittsburgh.
Jill Zoria

Jill develops and executes strategies to cultivate relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders to secure support and engagement with the university’s mission and goals. She provides strategic leadership to the advancement team, collaborates with university leadership, and ensures the successful implementation of fundraising and engagement initiatives. Jill has a B.A. in Communication from the University of Pittsburgh and has proudly called the Pittsburgh region home ever since. Prior to joining Point Park in 2023, Jill was the Vice President of Investor Relations at the Allegheny Conference. In this capacity, she managed high-value corporate fundraising and cultivated investor relationships. Prior to this, she served as the Director of Marketing Strategy & Development for the Butler County YMCA Association. Earlier in her career, Jill co-founded and played pivotal roles in two Pittsburgh-based marketing and tech startups, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit.
Jen Dittrich

Jen manages alumni, donor, and constituent data. Jen joined Point Park as the Data Specialist in August 2014 and has since been promoted to Coordinator of Development Resources, Manager of Advancement Services, and again to her current role as Director of Advancement Data Services. She has over 15 years of experience in donor services as she previously served as gift entry and donor records specialist at Carlow University. Jen earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration from La Roche University.

Emily joined the University Advancement team in January 2025 after spending 11 years with San Jacinto Community College just east of Houston, Texas. She and Jen work closely together to manage the constituent data and gifts for the Advancement team. A staunch supporter of lifelong learning, Emily has been working in various roles in higher education since 2010. While a Bachelor of Science degree in Theatre from SUNY Brockport may seem unusual for a data nerd, her creative background has fostered the ability to break down complex projects into manageable pieces. Emily is very happy to be back in the northeast and to call Pittsburgh home.

Lisa Vesolich, MNLM, ACRE, is the Institutional Partnerships Manager in the Office of University Advancement at Point Park University. A proud alumna of Point Park, Lisa brings nearly two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, development, and community partnership cultivation. Her career has centered around creating opportunities for individuals and communities to thrive, particularly through access to education, empowerment, and compassionate connection. Lisa holds a Master of Nonprofit Leadership and Management (MNLM) and a certificate from the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE). She has a strong track record of securing funding and building lasting relationships with foundations, corporations, and philanthropic partners. Prior to joining Point Park, Lisa held leadership roles in development and program strategy for various mission-driven organizations throughout Western Pennsylvania.

Shelby leads efforts to engage and build meaningful relationships with Point Park University alumni. In her role, she manages alumni events, supports the Alumni Board, and works to strengthen connections between alumni and the University community. A proud Point Park alumni, Shelby earned her B.S. in Sports, Arts, and Entertainment Management in 2022. Prior to joining the University Advancement team, she served as the Volunteer Engagement Manager at the YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh and previously as the Volunteer and Events Manager at Family House. Shelby discovered her passion for nonprofit event work and relationship building during her college years and has dedicated her career to the nonprofit sector ever since.

With over six years of experience in spearheading branding, advertising, and digital marketing strategies for a variety of businesses and non-profits, they're ecstatic to bring their expertise back to their alma mater. A proud alumnae, Kat graduated with a Bachelor's in Multimedia in 2020. Kat is passionate about informing, supporting, and engaging Point Park's community to foster a stronger connection between alumni and their alma mater.

A proud Point Park alumna, Emily holds a B.A. in Public Relations and Advertising. Prior to joining Point Park, she gained experience as a growth marketer at an education technology company. She previously participated in Venture For America, a two-year fellowship program focused on entrepreneurship and social impact. Passionate about innovation and community-building, Emily continues to leverage her expertise to advance institutional goals and create lasting impact.
