CINEMA ARTS - SCREENWRITING

Point Park University’s Cinema Arts Department is seeking part-time faculty with experience and expertise in screenwriting. The candidate must be knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of writing for screens large and small, including feature screenplays, teleplays, and writing for animation and video games. Position to begin Fall of 2022. Review of applications will continue until the positions are filled.

The undergraduate screenwriting program offers a rigorous BFA in Screenwriting and supports the departmental BA in Cinema Arts. As part of Point Park’s prestigious Conservatory of Performing Arts, the department’s mission focuses on professionals teaching young artists in a highly collaborative, experiential learning environment.

Ideal candidates will:

  • Live in the surrounding Pittsburgh area.
  • Preferably have a terminal degree and/or comparable professional experience in cinema.
  • Demonstrate teaching experience or the potential to successfully instruct an undergraduate course in a university setting.
  • Add diverse perspectives and experiences to the faculty and classroom.
