The Department of Psychology at Point Park University seeks Part-time Faculty candidates for graduate courses.  Part-time Faculty rates are per the collective bargaining agreement.  Part-time faculty should be willing to support the mission and vision of the Department of Psychology and PsyD Program in Clinical Psychology.

Currently, the Department of Psychology is seeking candidates to teach the following courses in Fall of 2023:

 

1.  Lifespan Development

This course reviews various theories and empirical research on development beginning with infancy and continuing through late adulthood and continuing through late adulthood and death. The course examines socialization of the person across development and explores language development and the role of genetics.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Psychology or related field
  • Established expertise in developmental psychology
  • Experience teaching college courses in developmental psychology and/or related subjects

2.  Consultation & Supervision

This course is an introduction to theory, research, and application of supervision and consultation in clinical and community settings.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensed Psychologist
  • Doctorate in Psychology
  • Established clinical experience in consultation and supervision
  • Experience teaching college courses in clinical psychology and/or related subject areas

3.  Program Development, Evaluation, & Assessment

This course assists students in developing practical skills for the creation and implementation of programs related to community building, health initiatives/services, and non-profit organizations. Students learn to identify basic tools for strategic planning for program development, evaluation and assessment of programs, and assessment of programs to solve common organizational problems.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Psychology or related field
  • Experience in clinical and/or community programs
  • Experience teaching related courses at the college level
