Position opening: Graduate Assistant- School of Education, Doctoral Program
Department: School of Education
Term of appointment: One academic year assignment, with opportunity for renewal. Appointment begins fall 2025 semester (late August) and lasts through end of August 2026.
Salary: $10.00 per hour, up to $3,200 per semester (for a total of $9,600 for the academic year), plus fully paid tuition and fees.
Requirements: Master’s degree in education, leadership, or a similar degree. Professional experience in education, research, or a related field preferred. Applicants for this assistantship must already have been admitted into the School of Education Ed.D. program and must commit to enroll in a minimum of six (6) credits per semester, including summer. Primary duties: The Graduate Assistant will support the Director of the Doctoral Program in Leadership and Administration and the Associate Dean, School of Education. Responsibilities will include coordinating with faculty to develop social media features showcasing students and alumni, highlighting research studies of recent doctoral students, maintaining a database of alumni information, assisting with the recruitment efforts for future students, occasional attendance at events (schedule permitting), and other School of Education projects as needed. The Graduate Assistant will be encouraged to identify and pursue a personal goal related to their academic interests.
