POSITION:  Graduate Assistant - Athletics – Compliance

REPORTS TO: Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance

SALARY: $10.00/hour plus fully paid tuition and fees. Full-time tuition is for nine graduate credits per term (fall and spring). Room and board, additional tuition charges, books and incidental costs are not covered. Summer tuition is not covered by the graduate assistantship.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree is required. Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary. A valid driver’s license and ability to meet the requirements to drive University vehicles required. Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred. Must demonstrate proficient organizational, communication and public relations skills; must possess general computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Candidate must be currently enrolled or accepted into a Point Park University graduate school program by Fall 2026.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Assist the Athletic Department and Assistant AD for Compliance in the development and management of all phases of Point Park’s compliance program.

DUTIES:

  1. Commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of the Department, the University, the MEC/GMAC and NCAA Division II.
    2. Assist with all aspects of the NCAA compliance program in accordance with NCAA, MEC/GMAC, and institutional rules.
    3. Assist with monitoring compliance-related activities, including recruiting, financial aid, playing and practice seasons, and the transfer portal.
    4. Assist with NCAA rules education and interpretations for coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
    5. Assist with submitting required NCAA reports and documentation, including squad lists, financial aid reports, Academic Performance Census /ASR/ GSR.
    6. Work compatibly and cooperatively with the staff and personnel of the athletics department.
    7. Assist the Assistant Athletic Director – Facilities & Operations with set up, preparation and coverage for athletic events at all Point Park University facilities and other off-site locations.
    8. Assist administrative staff with game-day operations and administrative support.
    9. Attend departmental meetings when necessary.
    10. Attend awards ceremonies.
    11. Perform other duties as assigned.
