REPORTS TO:         Senior Assistant Registrar

Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience; Minimum two years related work experience, preferably in higher education; Excellent written and verbal communication skills;  Student service oriented;  Ability to work to established deadlines; Excellent problem solving skills necessary;  Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and Saturdays if necessary.  Work schedule is 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Monday – Friday.  

Perform a variety of administrative functions in support of the student records function of the Office of the University Registrar. Responsibilities require a thorough knowledge of department services and functions as well as knowledge of FERPA governing the maintenance and processing of student records.


  1. Oversee National Student Loan Clearinghouse (NSLC) process regarding requests for student transcripts. Review financial clearance status with student accounts, communicate reasons to NSLC when transcripts cannot be released.
  2. Oversee degree verifications and student enrollment verification with NSLC.
  3. Process registrations, schedule changes, course withdrawals, complete withdrawals, independent studies, and internships. Check registration screens for re-admission clearance, probation, immunization, closed classes, repeated classes, etc.
  4. Create and generate student correspondence concerning events, including but not limited to, enrollment verifications, conferral letters, and deferment forms.
  5. Responsible for overseeing distribution of appropriate departmental mail.
  6. Maintain emergency contacts student data and address changes.
  7. Processing and recording of all student forms, such as change of majors.
  8. Manage departmental front office including supplies inventory and coordinating facilities requests.
  9. Greet students, faculty and staff. Answer departmental phones. Respond to student inquiries and direct and refer students to appropriate academic support areas.

  12. Provide administrative support for the Office of the University Registrar.
  13. Maintain strict confidentiality of student records – adhere to the requirements of FERPA as it applies to student records.
  14. Perform special projects or other related duties as assigned.
