Point Park University Students Visit Cell Bio 2025 Conference in Philadelphia Thursday, December 18, 2025
Students traveled to the Cell Bio 2025 Conference in December, giving them a chance to explore future opportunities they can achieve with their degree.
Students from Point Park University recently traveled to Philadelphia for a gathering of the cell biology community, learning about some of the new and exciting discoveries made by potnetial future colleagues.
Traveling to the other side of the state, students toured the Cell Bio 2025 conference. The gathering served as a joint meeting of the American Society for Cell Biology and European Molecular Biology Organization, which gave the Pioneers a great chance to network with professionals in the biological sciences industry and learn about some of the global discoveries being made in the field..
"I found the conference helpful, as a I got to connect with schools that offered master's programs and internships that are in the field that I want to work in," said Harleen Dhasi, a senior in Point Park's biological sciences program. "I also got to meet many experts in the field of molecular biology. They shared many insights into the field and offered lots of helpful advice."
As one of the largest meet-ups for professionals in the cell biology field, the networking opportunities were invaluable to the students at Point Park. They were excited to see all of the presentations, but also sawthe event as an interesting way to see where their paths may lead them after graduation.
"My favorite part was getting to talk to experts in the field," said Tatum Lucero, anothe senior in the bilogical sciences program. "It showed me new possibilities after college and allowed me to make valuable connections. We were able to attend two of the days, and we talked to at least two dozen booths sharing their new innovations. It made me very excited for the future."
