Describe your role at Highmark.

As workforce planning analyst, I utilize data analysis and visualization tools to provide insight for growth and enablement decisions. Coming from a background in financial services, I am enjoying my recent transition into health care. My position allows me to apply my educational knowledge and work in a collaborative environment.

Why did you choose Point Park?

I chose Point Park for its urban campus, variety of programs and direct faculty instruction. The Rowland School of Business’ central location in Downtown Pittsburgh is perfect for working students in the area.

How would you describe the MBA faculty and coursework?

The instructors are not only academics, but respected professionals with industry experience. Within my program, coursework has enhanced my understanding of business administration and information technology. Professors are available to support coursework demands and facilitate networking connections within the Pittsburgh area.

Your MBA focus is on business analytics and management information systems. What do you like about this program, and how do you see yourself applying it to your work?

Through my dual concentration, I have gained practical skills in information technology and business analytics. Here at Point Park, we complete project-based coursework that prepares students for their future careers.

What is it like balancing work and school?
