Pioneer Records Announces 2025-2026 Pioneer Stars Wednesday, November 12, 2025
Pioneer Records has announced their 20205-2026 school year Pioneer Stars: Ava Breese, Brynn Elena and Jordan Versaw.

Pioneer Records, the student-operated record label of Point Park University, has announced its three chosen Pioneer Stars for the 2025-2026 school year.
Each year, Pioneer Records faculty and staff carefully review applications from Point Park University’s talented student body to select three exceptional artists who embody creativity, dedication and potential. This year’s stars are ready to embark on an unforgettable journey that elevates their musical career.
Each of the Pioneer Stars will receive exclusive opportunities to further their music careers, including:
- A professionally recorded song produced in collaboration with Red Caiman Media;
- A cover photoshoot;
- A chance to be the featured artist for a Point Park University student-directed music video;
- An opportunity to win a donated Gibson Guitar, gifted by Gibson Gives.
All three stars will also take center stage at Pioneer Records’ annual spring concert at Stage AE, performing for an audience at one of Pittsburgh’s premier venues.
This year’s cast of Pioneer Stars includes:
Ava Breese '28
- Hometown: Butler, Pa.
- Major: Musical Theatre
- Musical Inspirations: “I’m inspired musically by artists such as Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter and Lizzy McAlpine.”
- How long they’ve been performing: “I’ve been writing music since my senior year of high school, but my aspirations started much sooner, around Sixth Grade.”

Brynn Elena '27
- Hometown: Tiffin, Ohio
- Major: Sports Communication
- Musical Inspirations: “Leith Ross, Sidney Gish and Jake Minch”
- How long they’ve been performing: “I’ve been involved with music my whole life, but I started writing and recording before my senior year of high school.”

Jordan Versaw '26
- Hometown: Mars, Pa.
- Major: Business Administration
- Musical Inspirations: “Lana Del Rey, Fauzia, Fleurie, Ursine Vulpine, ‘BookTok’ and love in all its forms.”
- How long they’ve been performing: “I’ve been performing in a variety of different outlets since 2009, from musicals, dance, stage plays and vocal showcases.”
