Archish Maharaja, Ed.D., assistant professor of business management and director of Point Park University's M.B.A. program, recently joined the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education's site team on an accreditation visit to Alliance University and Indus Business Academy in Bangalore, India.

IACBE is a leading professional accreditation body for undergraduate and graduate business programs around the world whose primary purpose is excellence in teaching and learning.

During the accreditation visit, Maharaja met with students and faculty members of both institutions to learn about their educational processes and programs. In honor of Maharaja's visit, the Indus Business Academy held a tree planting dedication ceremony.

In addition, Maharaja attended a candidacy visit this month to Dunya University and Kardan University in Kabul, Afghanistan, with Dennis Gash, Ph.D., president of IACBE. Maharaja served as a panel member at the Afghanistan Higher Education Institutions Association's conference on "International Accreditation and Quality Assurance" and accompanied Gash in a private meeting with Masoud Tarshtwal, AHEIA's director general of private higher education institutions for the Afghanistan Ministry of Higher Education, to discuss accreditation and quality assurance.
