Why did you choose Point Park University?

I first came to Point Park for the Summer Dance Program in high school. I immediately fell in love with the campus and the atmosphere. I chose the journalism program because of the awesome faculty that I met at open houses and I knew I wanted to go into communications.

What advice do you have for incoming freshmen to make the most of their college career?

The advice that I have for freshmen is to get involved with everything that sounds interesting to you. Its tempting to worry about doing too much, but you'll meet more people if you take advantage of the opportunities available and you can find out what you like and what you don't. It goes so fast and you don't want to have any regrets.

What was your favorite experience as a student?

I don't think it is possible to choose just one favorite experience. If I had to choose just one memory it would be attending and helping with Point Park's 50th anniversary party. It was awesome to see current students talking to alumni who haven't been back in decades. Its exciting to see how Point Park continues to change and the new opportunities for future students.

What's next for you?

This summer, I'll be attending graduate school at Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications for new media management.
