Gina Catanzarite and Maria Kakay (COM '05), School of Communication part-time faculty members, were part of a production team that won a Mid-Atlantic Emmy at the annual National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awards ceremony, held Sept. 7 in Philadelphia, Pa.

Catanzarite and Kakay, along with five other producers from WQED-TV, won the award in the Community Service category for "Hunger: Our Hidden Crisis."

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is a professional service organization that recognizes excellence in the television industry.
