Pasquale Greco, a 2008 cinema arts graduate, will have his short documentary, The Other Dave, presented as part of a collection of short documentaries that will screen at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday, May 18 at 5 p.m.

Greco was awarded a grant in late 2011 to direct and produce a short documentary for the festival. Real Ideas Studio, a non-profit production company based out of San Francisco, distributed the grant to 11 filmmakers worldwide with the intention of combining the short documentaries into a 70-minute feature film. Each documentary is based around the theme, "Other Than."

Greco and his crew of five, which includes fellow Point Park graduates Travis Lee (co-producer and lead interviewer), Nicholas DeGrazia (lead editor) and Michael Watson Phillips (co-producer and script supervisor), have been working on the film since early January in South Carolina and New York. Greco's team also included Lance Becker (director of photography), and James Herndon (digital media manager).

The Other Dave tells the story of David Manning, whose life was changed the day he was struck by lightning. Now fully disabled, the story centers on the changes in Dave after the lightning strike, primarily his new altered perception of reality.
