"Point Park has always made me feel like I matter. At a larger university, you may be seen as just a number. When you attend Point Park, your professors make an effort to know your name, get to know you on a personal level and you will take courses with many of the same classmates throughout your educational career, allowing you to form close bonds with people in your major."

What do you like about Point Park's elementary education program?

I like how welcoming the professors are, no matter what class year you are. The professors will always greet you with a positive attitude and strive to give you the best opportunities in the 15 weeks they have you in class.

What are the benefits of going to school in Downtown Pittsburgh?

Some of the benefits of going to school in Downtown Pittsburgh are being able to see the lovely architecture around the city, the holiday market and farmer's market in Market Square, and being walking distance from Point State Park.

Tell us about your favorite professors and courses.

Some of my favorite professors would be Christal Edmunds, Ph.D., and Kamryn York, Ed.D., who I have for my Methods of Mathematics, Technology Literacy, Assessment and Adaptation and Teaching Social Studies courses. I also enjoyed taking the Child from Conception to Age 9, a psychology course taught by Professor Smith.

What do you like about living on campus?

One of the benefits of living on campus is being able to go to all the fun Campus Activities Board events. I can easily access opportunities to have fun with my fellow students, such as the "Ghoulevard" Halloween event, during which my roommates and I decorated our dorm room door and attended different floor events.

Why would you recommend Point Park to a prospective student?

Point Park has always made me feel like I matter. At a larger university, you may be seen as just a number. When you attend Point Park, your professors make an effort to know your name, get to know you on a personal level and you will take courses with many of the same classmates throughout your educational career, allowing you to form close bonds with people in your major.
