School of Education Announces Fast-Track Bachelor's-to-Master's Program for Students in Any Major Monday, January 26, 2026
“We’re thrilled to offer the fast-track option to students from any major at Point Park University. This innovative opportunity addresses the national teacher shortage and makes graduates more desirable in a competitive job market.”
Point Park has launched an innovative education program that allows enrolled students to complete their bachelor’s in any major and a master’s in education in just four and a half years.
Upperclassmen will blend both undergraduate and graduate coursework, gaining early access to master’s-level learning. With just an extra semester of student teaching and summer coursework, students can complete two degrees, helping them launch their careers with stronger credentials and opening up new avenues.
“We’re thrilled to offer the fast-track option to students from any major at Point Park University,” said Virginia Chambers, Ed.D., dean of the School of Education. “This innovative opportunity addresses the national teacher shortage and makes graduates more desirable in a competitive job market.”
Students can choose from master’s in elementary, secondary or special education, all leading to Pennsylvania teaching certification. There is also a master’s in athletic coaching (non-certification program) and a specialized dance education master’s for students pursuing a dance undergraduate degree.
The program saves students time and money by allowing them to begin graduate-level coursework during their undergraduate studies. Students must apply by their sophomore year to be accepted into the fast-track program.
