“In addition to distributing the backpacks, my brother Jayvon ‘Treez’ Lemon gave around 50 free haircuts to the children and Rue Lemon supplied food for all of the families. I was blessed to have an amazing support system and team to help build and execute the event so quickly,” said Marnich, who graduated from Grove City High School.

During his final semester at Point Park, Marnich student taught at Greenfield Elementary School, a part of Pittsburgh Public Schools.

Point Park’s faculty has given me so many resources it is unbelievable. My mother and the entire School of Education have been very instrumental in my success. We all have the common goal of helping children and changing the world for the better,” he explained.

Marnich added: “Seeing the children’s faces at the Get Ready for School event made everything worthwhile. Not only were they thankful for all of the free items, but I could genuinely see how excited this event made them about school. Being able to produce a positive outlook on a negative situation was the goal and we were able to conquer that.”
