Point Park University, a leading educational institution in Downtown Pittsburgh, announced that its popular Visit Scholarship will become a permanent fixture of the school’s admissions process. Point Park is anticipating an increase of more than 25 percent in first-year freshmen for the upcoming fall semester.

This year, the scholarship opportunity, valued at $4,000, is exclusively available to high school juniors and seniors who visit the University's vibrant Downtown campus between Aug. 1, 2025, and Feb. 28, 2026.

“Since the implementation of the Visit Scholarship three years ago, we have consistently seen a significant surge in attendance for our campus tours and Open House events. It is clearly playing a significant role in a consistentnt increase in enrollment,” said Dr. Chris W. Brussalis, president of Point Park. “Given the increased interest in Point Park and a high number of students who ultimately benefited from the scholarship, making it a permanent university offering is an easy decision.”

The Point Park University Visit Scholarship aims to recognize and reward the enthusiasm of prospective students who take the time to experience firsthand the unique educational environment and rich cultural offerings of the Downtown Pittsburgh campus. This scholarship is a testament to the University's commitment to making higher education accessible and affordable for talented students seeking an exceptional academic experience.

Visit Scholarship Details

To be eligible for the Visit Scholarship, high school juniors and seniors must schedule and complete an official campus visit between Aug. 1, 2025, and Feb. 28, 2026, or attend the University’s Admissions Open Houses, which will be held:

  • Sept. 20, 2025
  • Nov. 1, 2025
  • Feb. 7, 2026

During their visit, students will have the opportunity to tour the campus, meet with admissions counselors, and learn more about the wide range of academic programs offered at Point Park University. By actively engaging with the University community, students will gain valuable insights into the vibrant student life and immersive learning experiences.

The Point Park University Visit Scholarship, valued at $4,000, will be awarded to eligible students who complete their visit and subsequently enroll as full-time undergraduate students. The scholarship will be disbursed evenly over the course of four years, providing valuable financial support throughout their academic journey.
