Point Park University Offers Next Step Scholarship to Assist Transfer Students
“The Next Step Scholarship provides additional financial assistance to students who have determined that Point Park's distinctive academic experience and Downtown Pittsburgh campus are the right fit for their goals."
On-ground students can get $3,000 annually for up to three years
Point Park University is introducing the Next Step Scholarship, a limited-time opportunity for on-ground students who transfer for the Fall 2026 semester. This $3,000 scholarship recognizes students who have worked hard to find a school that is the best fit for them academically, personally, and professionally.
“This scholarship provides additional financial assistance to students who have determined that Point Park’s distinctive academic experience and Downtown Pittsburgh campus are the right fit for their goals,” said Marlin Collingwood, Vice President of Enrollment Management.
The Next Step Scholarship is available to students who transfer to Point Park University for Fall 2026 and submit their enrollment deposit between June 22, 2026, and August 10, 2026. The award amount is $3,000 (annually for up to three years) and this limited-time opportunity supports students who have invested time and effort in finding the institution that truly aligns with their ambitions.
The Next Step Scholarship is offered in addition to Point Park's other merit, visit, and transfer-specific awards for eligible students entering in the 2026-27 academic year. Current published transfer scholarship opportunities include merit-based awards, the Transfer Visit Scholarship, Phi Theta Kappa, the Community College Success Grant, and other transfer-specific scholarships.
“Choosing the right college is not easy. Students who work hard to find their Next Step often discover their current school doesn’t offer the academic programs, campus culture, or career opportunities they need to succeed,” Collingwood said. “The Next Step Scholarship acknowledges this important journey and helps students transition to Point Park, where personalized support, strong academic programs, career-connected learning, and an urban campus environment create momentum for their future.”
Point Park's Downtown Pittsburgh location places students close to internships, professional networks, and the energy of a thriving city -- often a deciding factor for students seeking a more connected, purpose-driven college experience.
