Point Park invites the public to a free Speaking Light lecture on the photographic arts, Friday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. in Thayer Hall's JVH Auditorium. The featured artist, Christine Holtz, will discuss her photographs examining vernacular landscapes as settings for life-changing experiences.

Holtz is a Pittsburgh-based photographer and educator. Her work has been exhibited at universities and galleries across the country including Gallery Katz in Boston, James Watrous Gallery in Madison, Wis., Photo/Print Gallery in Reno, Nev., Focal Point Gallery in Moorhead, Minn., Gallery 1101 in Carbondale, Ill. and SRO Corridor Gallery in Lubbock, Tex.

Speaking Lightis a new Point Park School of Communication lecture series on the photographic arts. Speaking Light events are held on the last Friday of each month. The final featured artist of the academic year will be Heather Pinson on March 25, 2011. For more information, contact Patrick Millard.
