Smooth Transition Program Available for Students Transferring to Point Park
Point Park University now offers the Smooth Transition program to help students in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education or state-affiliated schools.
“The Smooth Transition program includes generous transfer scholarship packages to keep students’ dreams affordable, combined with personalized counselor and academic success coaches to help students stay on track to graduate in four years," said Marlin Collingwood, Point Park University vice president of enrollment.
“Point Park is a transfer-friendly institution,” Collingwood added. “Many of Point Park’s innovative academic programs in business, communications, the sciences and the arts are thriving, even as similar programs are being cut or de-emphasized.”
Students could qualify for up to $27,000 per year in Point Park transfer scholarships – including a $5,000 per academic year scholarship as a transfer from a Pennsylvania state school. The Smooth Transition program also includes a timely review of transfer credits and equivalencies; a transfer counselor to guide students through the process, and an academic success coach to help transfer students stay on track to graduate in four years.
