On October 29 and 30, 2009 Point Park University professors, Dr. Archish Maharaja and Dr. Mohammed Sidky, presented their papers at the annual conference of the Northeastern Association of Business, Economics and Technology (NABET) in State College, Pennsylvania. Dr. Maharaja presented his paper titled "Use of the Electronic Health Record in Private Medical Practices." Dr. Sidky presented his paper titled "When the Center Fails: Perspectives on The End of Globalization as We Know It."

One of Dr. Maharaja's research interests is in health care information technology, for which he will be presenting his work at the upcoming World Health Information Technology Conference in Arlington, VA in early November 2009. This conference will feature such renowned speakers as former President of the United States, Bill Clinton and former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich.
