Arts and Sciences, Business, Communication and Education Scholarships Scholarships for the 2024-25 Academic Year

Scholarships are a form of gift aid and do not need to be repaid. When you are accepted to Point Park, you automatically are considered for these awards. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis (one-half in fall, one-half in spring).  Scholarships do not apply to summer semesters or courses.  We invite you to explore our many Point Park scholarships, listed below, and their awarding criteria.

The scholarships listed on this page are for students who will enter Point Park for the 2024-25 academic year (fall 2024 or spring 2025). If you are starting Point Park in spring 2024, please visit our Scholarships for the 2023-24 academic year page. Students in the Online program are not eligible for scholarships or grants from the university. Participating in Study Abroad may affect your scholarship.

Students who opt for test optional admission will be evaluated and eligible for all appropriate scholarships.

In addition to offering institutional scholarships, we encourage students to seek out private scholarships - from organizations, businesses and other special-interest groups. At Point Park, you will never have your merit-based aid reduced if you receive outside scholarships.

Freshmen

Conservatory students are not eligible for academic scholarships in the Schools of Arts and Sciences, Business, Communication and Education.  View the Conservatory Scholarships.

Merit-based	$14,000-$24,000	Full-time traditional undergraduate FRESHMEN based on high school GPA  Must meet University's standard academic progress policy to keep award Merit aid is to be used to offset the cost of tuition and fees ONLY
Visit Scholarship	$1,000	High school juniors and seniors must schedule and complete an official campus visit between Sept. 1, 2023, and March 1, 2024, or attend the University’s Admissions Open Houses on Sept. 16, 2023; Nov. 4, 2023; or Feb. 3, 2024 to be eligible.

Note: Traditional undergraduate students are defined as undergraduate students taking 12 or more credits. Students in the Online program are not eligible for scholarships or grants from the university. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis (one-half in fall, one-half in spring).

Transfer Students

Community College Success Grant	$2,000	Must hold an associate degree from a qualifying community college:  Central Ohio Technical College, Community College of Allegheny County, Community College of Beaver County, Eastern Gateway Community College, Erie County Community College, Frederick Community College, Hagerstown Community College, Harrisburg Area Community College, Pennsylvania Highlands Community College, Reading Area Community College, Westmoreland County Community College, West Virginia Northen Community College Must pursue a bachelor degree in the same discipline at Point Park University On-ground students only
Phi Theta Kappa	$1,500	Full-time, traditional undergraduate TRANSFER students Must be a transfer student from a community college and member of Phi Theta Kappa GPA 3.5 or higher cumulative Merit aid is to be used to offset the cost of tuition and fees ONLY
Smooth Transition PASSHE Scholarship	$3,000	Full-time, traditional undergraduate TRANSFER students Must be academically eligible Must transfer directly from a school within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education
