How did you land your current position with PNC?

I began a marketing internship with PNC in the summer of 2014 after being referred by my marketing professor at Point Park, Chris Lovett. About halfway into my internship, Chris told me about the ACCEL program with PNC so I reached out to the people involved with the program. After meeting with a senior market leader, I was invited to do a presentation along with other candidates for a full-time position with the ACCEL program that would begin after graduation.

Tell us about the current work you do for PNC.

The ACCEL retail bank development program is a training program for college graduates in which we learn about all of the aspects of a retail branch. Upon completion of the 12-month rotational program, we are then placed into the position of branch manager or business banker with PNC.

As a veteran, what factors made you choose Point Park?

As a veteran, I thrive when working with a team. Because of this, I chose Point Park. I wanted small class sizes with a strong emphasis on group projects that promote teamwork.

Please list internships you had throughout college.

How has Point Park's business management program prepared you?

The business management program definitely helped my public speaking skills. I had to do many group projects and presentations throughout my student career at Point Park. I've learned through my internships, especially the one at PNC, that being able to properly present an idea or topic is a very sought-after skill when working for a large corporation.

What are your career goals?

I just want to keep moving forward and be in an upper-management role someday. I enjoy leading and motivating teams to achieve success.
