The Pioneer Ambassadors are a group of student leaders who work directly with the incoming students and families.
Allie Plassio
Graduate Assistant and Orientation Coordinator
Allie Plassio is from North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. Allie earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary and Special Education at Point Park University. She currently oversees the Pioneer Ambassador team to help organize and coordinate the program. Her goal is to continue to make orientation an impactful experience that encourages the new students to enjoy and immerse themselves in the opportunities that the University and city has to offer! Allie is an athlete on the cross country and track and field teams at Point Park and also enjoys practicing her Christian faith and getting coffee with friends!

Savannah Ikach
Program Chair
Savannah Ikach (she/her), a Pittsburgh native, is studying Multimedia and Creative Writing. As Chair of the program, she oversees the PA coordinators and works directly with the Graduate Assistant. She is eager to continue making a difference on campus, now three years into the Pioneer Ambassador Program. As a creative individual, Svannah enjoys collaborating with others at Point Park as General Manager at WPPJ and a member of U-View. She has an affinity for performing and making music in her everyday life. Savannah loves the opportunities Downtown has to offer and can often be seen listening to music or crocheting in her free time.
Paige Rennekamp
Pioneer Ambassador Coordinator
Brand Management & Social Engagement
Paige Rennekamp (she/her) is from Greencastle, Pennsylvania. She is an Elementary Education major (Pre-K to Grade 4). This year, Paige is serving as the Pioneer Ambassador Coordinator of Brand Management & Social Engagement. She will be running all of the social media platforms, helping highlight the Pioneer Ambassadors program and getting freshmen excited about attending Point Park University. Paige is also the Chapter Director for Strong Women Strong Girls. She loves going to concerts, watching movies, exploring the city and being with her friends.
Robert Fornataro
Pioneer Ambassador Coordinator
Membership and Training
Robert Fornataro is from Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, and is a Broadcasting and Multimedia double major, concentrating in Reporting and Visual Communications. This year, Robert is serving as the Pioneer Ambassador Coordinator of Membership and Training, where he leads training for the Pioneer Ambassador team, creates the official handbook and guide for orientation, and aids in making sure the incoming first-year students go through a seamless transition into their collegiate life. He upholds the mission and purpose of the Pioneer Ambassador program and the University, with the goal of fully preparing the Pioneer Ambassadors for anything that may happen during their Pioneer Experience. Outside the Pioneer Ambassador program, Robert is an Office Assistant for Residence Life, President of the Honors Program, Lead Producer of “Entertainment on Point,” a Features/Arts & Entertainment Editor for The Globe and a General Member of the Campus Activities Board. In his free time, Robert enjoys dancing, reading, watching movies, traveling and spending time with friends and family!
Nick Buono
Pioneer Ambassador Coordinator
Activity Involvement
Nick Buono (he/him) is a cinema production major at Point Park University. This is his second year with the Pioneer Ambassador Program, and he is serving as the Activity Involvement Coordinator. This means his main responsibility is planning and running the Battle of the Boulevard! Besides the PA program, Nick is involved with WPPJ, the radio station on campus. Nick enjoys watching movies, playing video games and spending quality time with his friends and family.
Alexander Hatt

Service Initiatives
Alexander Hatt (He/any), is from Middletown, Pennsylvania, and is studying film production with a focus in cinematography. For Pioneer Experience, Alex is coordinating the service projects that help our local community. He is very excited to not only help make a difference in the Pittsburgh community but also in each incoming freshman. He loves photography and engaging with freshmen. In his free time, you may find him lying out at The Point or getting food around campus.
Quinn Starrett
Pioneer Ambassador Coordinator
Campus Involvement
Quinn Starrett (she/her) is a junior Musical Theatre major from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. As the Coordinator of Campus Involvement, she organizes the late-night activities for orientation as well as during Pioneer Ambassador training and Tea Tuesdays throughout the fall semester. Quinn is involved in COPA Theatre Club as the Rep at Large. She also works for the University Advising Center. (Stop by if you get the chance—5th floor West Penn!) In her downtime, Quinn loves to hang out with her friends and watch movies. She is so excited to meet the incoming freshman class of 2029!
