Transportation: Point Park Shuttle Service

Point Park will offer University shuttle transportation on Saturday morning and afternoon to allow you to explore Pittsburgh, as well as between Point Park and area hotels on Friday and Saturday evenings. Shuttles are easily identified by the prominently displayed Point Park logo on the sides of each shuttle. The Point Park pick-up/drop-off location is at the Student Center parking lot shelter, 330 Boulevard of the Allies.

This year there WILL be shuttle service for the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium,

There will NOT be shuttle service to the Cross Country meet at Schenley Park. Please visit the website for more information including hours of operation, directions, parking, etc.

For families with young children, please be aware that no child required under Pennsylvania Law to ride in a child safety seat of any kind (car seat, booster seat, etc.) is permitted to ride University shuttles.

Under Pennsylvania's seat belt law:

  • Children under the age of 4 must be properly restrained in an approved child safety seat anywhere in the vehicle.
  • Children from ages 4 up to 8 must be restrained in an appropriate booster seat.
  • Children from ages 8 up to 18 must be in a seat belt.

Items left on University shuttles will be turned in to lost and found located at the Academic Hall security desk.

Shuttle Schedule

The Point Park pick-up/drop-off location is at the Student Center parking lot shelter, 330 Boulevard of the Allies.

The Family Weekend shuttles run in a continuous loop to and from Point Park and the locations below during the specified hours.

Exploring Pittsburgh
Looping service to Strip District, Lawrenceville, The Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium, Shadyside, Station Square, and Point Park (Student Center shuttle parking lot).

This looping shuttle service takes approximately 45 minutes, depending on traffic. You can hop on and off as you wish. Note that Station Square is only a 10-20 minute walk to campus, depending on the Station Square location. If you don't want to wait for the shuttle back to campus, see below for alternate transportation options.

Shuttle Tracking

Real time tracking of University shuttle locations, as well as estimated time of returns and departures, is available online, or you can download the app. Links to the app download are available on the tracking website in the upper right corner menu.

The Megabus stop for all arrivals and departures is located under the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, at the intersection of 10th and French just north of Penn Avenue. During times when the bus stop beneath the Convention Center is unavailable, buses will arrive and depart from the Northbound side of Penn Avenue, between 10th and 11th Streets.

Port Authority of Allegheny County

The Port Authority primarily serves Allegheny County with bus, T (light rail), incline, and paratransit service. You can find updated fare information and schedules on the Port Authority website, along with how to ride, how to pay, how to read a timetable, transit do's and don'ts, and Park & Ride lots.
