Describe your role at the Pittsburgh Penguins.

My job entails managing season ticket holder accounts, assisting season ticket holders with any issues they may have, reaching out to prospective season ticket holders and just selling tickets! I enjoy everything about my job, especially the people I work with and knowing that I’m not only selling tickets, but I’m helping to create experiences and memories for the fans.

How did Point Park's SAEM program prepare you for a career in the sports industry?

The SAEM program helped me in so many ways. From the classes I took and the real-world experiences made available to me, to the knowledge that the professors shared about their own industry experiences, all aspects of the program helped to prepare me for a career in sports.

The SAEM faculty are so knowledgeable and have great industry experience to share. One of my favorite things was listening to their real-world stories. The coursework was all relevant, and I use skills that I’ve learned in classes in my job every day!

What are some of your fondest Point Park memories?

My favorite memories of Point Park are working in the SAIL Office and being a part of Campus Activities Board. I did both all four years of college, and I can honestly say that being involved improved my experience 100%. I definitely recommend getting involved on campus and stepping out of your comfort zone because it may lead to one of your best experiences!

What career advice do you have for current SAEM students?

Get involved and take advantage of everything you can! From workshops and guest speakers, to volunteer opportunities and internships, now is the time to do as much as you can to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible. This definitely helps when you’re interviewing for jobs.

Why would you recommend Point Park's SAEM program to a prospective student?

Choosing Point Park’s SAEM program was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. When talking to friends who went to other schools, they always seemed uncertain about their choice in major, as well as their school in general, but I never had that. The SAEM program is created to set you up for success, and as long as you take advantage of it, it will lead you to success doing a job that you love!

Is there anything else you would like to add?
