Why did you choose Point Park University’s public relations, advertising and social media program?
I chose the program because I knew that it would provide me well-rounded communication skills and the chance to engage in real-world opportunities.
You recently finished an internship with Pittsburgh Magazine. Tell us more about that.
I gained experience in social media management as an intern with Pittsburgh Magazine. I was responsible for keeping their Pinterest updated, while also choosing content of interest to their audience. I also learned the importance of networking by attending their events and talking with professionals in the industry.

What do you love most about going to college in Downtown Pittsburgh?
What I love most about going to college in Downtown Pittsburgh is that there are endless things to do. My friends and I love Market Square and the pop-up shops in the city. It’s also nice being a short bus ride away from activities outside of the city. The coffee shops are amazing and are great places to study or do homework. My favorite place in Downtown Pittsburgh is definitely Point State Park.
What advice do you have for students considering Point Park?
My advice to all students is to get involved as much as possible. Being in multiple student organizations is a great way to make friends and meet people from different majors. I would also encourage everyone to utilize the amazing resources on campus.
Is there anything else you’d like to add?
