Point Park University’s School of Dance has once again been recognized as one of the Best College Dance Programs for 2026 in the U.S. by DanceUS.org.

A leading portal for dance professionals, learners and enthusiasts, DanceUS.org is an independent online publication with over 250,000 monthly visitors, featuring unique content and editorials.

"This honor is a testament and a nod to the work of faculty, staff, students and our incredible alumni working in the dance industry, and our partnerships with local, national and international arts organizations," said Garfield Lemonius, M.F.A., dean, School of Dance and artistic director of the Conservatory of Performing Arts. "We remain committed to fresh ideas and innovative dance education while also centering the legacy of educators and creatives who have transformed dance as an art form."

The School of Dance includes the Departments of Concert Dance and Commercial Dance, which allows students to earn a B.F.A. in Dance with concentrations in balletjazzmodern and hip hop. Students can also minor in choreography and musical theatre. 

Additionally, the School of Dance offers a B.A. in Dance Education Certification Pre-K through 12 program and a variety of options for students to earn an undergraduate and graduate degree as part of our fast-track bachelor's to master's programs.

Integrating tradition, innovation, and artistry to move beyond labels, the School of Dance attracts highly skilled and motivated dancers who are willing to engage with the world around them and advance the field of dance.
