During your college search, what made Point Park’s B.F.A. in dance program stand out to you?

When doing my research, I discovered that so many alumni of Point Park's dance program landed jobs right after graduation. I was confident that the education and training I would receive at Point Park would prepare me for a career in dance.

You were recently hired by Mareck Center for Dance (formerly Missouri Contemporary Ballet). Tell us more about this opportunity.

I am so fortunate that I landed a job so soon after graduating. As an associate performer with the company, I serve as a role model to the School of Mareck Center for Dance and perform with the company. I am thrilled to have the chance to work with amazing artists and directors in this new role.

In what ways did Point Park prepare you for the professional world?

There's no doubt that Point Park prepared me for the professional world of dance. The education, training and experience I had as a student was truly exceptional. In addition to working with the incredibly talented dance faculty, I trained with a variety of guest artists and choreographers from different backgrounds. I can honestly say that it was a smooth transition into my first season as a professional dancer thanks to Point Park University.

What advice do you have for prospective dance students at Point Park?

My advice to students is to be ready for a challenge and be able to adapt to any genre of dance. And most importantly, enjoy your time as a student.
