Point Park University has once again been named among the Colleges of Distinction, both nationally and in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The recognition is based on Point Park’s student-centered approach to teaching and unique learning environment where students not only earn college credit, but also gain valuable real-world experiences through internships, co-ops, service learning, interdisciplinary programs, study abroad and more.

Point Park has also received program-specific recognition in business and education.

The University offers business degrees in accounting, business management, economics and finance, information technology, human resource management, organizational leadership, public administration and sports, arts and entertainment management as well as an MBA and an M.S. in health care administration and management.

In education, Point Park offers a wide array of undergraduate and graduate programs from elementary education and secondary education (with special education dual certification options) to athletic coaching, curriculum and instruction, leadership and administration and more.

"Every student who attends Point Park has a personalized support system at their disposal, and our faculty and staff work hard to make sure students take advantage of the opportunities we present to them," said Paul Hennigan, Ed.D., president of Point Park.

Hennigan added: "Distinctive, innovative, experiential learning is a critical component of the Point Park experience. Interdisciplinary centers such as the Center for Media Innovation and our new Pittsburgh Playhouse reflect that mission. At our Rowland School of Business, the co-op program provides students the opportunity to do paid internships while working toward their degrees."
