As a graphic and interactive design major, you will research, evaluate, create, design and produce professional-level materials for a variety of print, digital and interactive projects. You will learn the aesthetics and design principles first, in order to master a project from beginning to end.
The B.F.A. in graphic and interactive design includes classes in graphic design thinking, history, interactive graphic design, typography, branding and corporate identity, among other major electives.
Beginning freshman year, students will bring visual ideas and concepts to life using industry-standard hardware, software and tools. Additionally, students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with non-profit partners through Wood Street Communications, the graphic design club and Advertising Federation of America, as well as The Globe and other student media.
