Point Park University MBA students Annie Kennedy and Grace Isaac, and SAEM alumna Angela Thomas ’17, (pictured right), were selected to work in VIP at the Panic! At The Disco Pray For The Wicked concert at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh

As VIP assistants, the graduate students and alumna prepared VIP bags and accessories and then checked in 630 special guests.

“We also set up the House of Memories museum that featured prominent pieces of Panic!’s history like Brendon’s Kinky Boots, the Welcome to the Sound of Pretty Odd sign and various outfit pieces that were featured in tours, photoshoots and videos,” Kennedy explained.

Kennedy is concentrating her MBA degree in sports, arts and entertainment management and will graduate in December 2018.

The students were connected to this concert opportunity through SAEM Associate Professor Ed Traversari, MBA.

“Ed has always been a great mentor to me and is a wonderful asset to Point Park University. I worked my first VIP gig a few years ago during my junior year at Point Park and found a passion for this area of the industry. My favorite part is always engaging with the fans and witnessing how happy they are,” Thomas said.

She added: “I’m so thankful to Ed and also Tina Tesore at PPG Paints Arena for giving Point Park students and graduates these opportunities.”
