"Point Park’s accounting program blends exceptional academics with real-world experiences, such as job shadowing, internships, co-ops and service learning, all just steps away from our Downtown Pittsburgh location. Caring faculty actively mentor students and introduce them to professional organizations and networks. As a result, our students become career-ready during their college years, and many attain full-time positions or placement before graduation."

Jayne Olshanski, MBA, CPA, assistant professor of accounting

High school students and teachers interested in learning about Point Park University's accounting program are invited to join faculty, students and alumni for a Virtual Meet-Up on Zoom, scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. RSVP online

The meet-up will include a thorough overview of our student-centered, career-ready accounting program.

"Point Park’s accounting program blends exceptional academics with real-world experiences, such as job shadowing, internships, co-ops and service learning, all just steps away from our Downtown Pittsburgh location," said Jayne Olshanski, MBA, CPA, assistant professor of accounting. "Caring faculty actively mentor students and introduce them to professional organizations and networks. As a result, our students become career-ready during their college years, and many attain full-time positions or placement before graduation."

At the meet-up, hear from current students and alumni about how the program has equipped them for career success. Learn about Point Park's distinctive location, rigorous coursework, the Student Accounting Association, Accounting Career Awareness Program and more.

"We are excited that alumna Jenna Herman will join the meet-up to share her rewarding experiences with the Point Park accounting program and her flourishing career at Schneider Downs," Olshanski said. "Jayme Miller, a sophomore and president of the Student Accounting Association, will share her many accomplishments already achieved in her pursuit of the forensic accounting profession."

Olshanski, as well as faculty members Cheryl Clark and Amy Cesario, will be available to answer any questions during the meet-up.
