Are you a professional who wishes to enter into a leadership position? The mission of our Master of Education in School Leadership program is to prepare professional educators for leadership positions as school administrators or principals.

This program is aligned with Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) standards. Successful candidates will emerge with both a master's and the eligibility to obtain a PK–12 Principal Certification for building-level leadership. Students will gain professional knowledge that integrates leadership and supervisory theories and skills with problem-solving and decision-making models. 

Coursework encourages collaboration, communication, professional development and responsible management of educational programs and resources.

Fully Online Program

Our fully online, 30-credit Master of Education in School Leadership cohort program will advance your professional knowledge and lead you to Pre-K through 12th-grade principal certification.

  • Clinical Supervision and Leadership
  • Applied Research Practicum

Through their practicums, students will spend considerable time in K-12 classrooms to satisfy Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements pertaining to field experience and observation hours.

Career Options

Upon completion of this program, students will have earned an M.Ed. in School Leadership and be eligible for certification as a K-12 School Principal in the state of Pennsylvania.
