Thursday, March 19, 2020 Students in the Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society and Criminal Justice Club at Point Park recently delivered 100 backpacks containing granola bars, hand sanitizers, hand warmers and information about the University's Department of Criminal Justice and Intelligence Studies programs to various Pittsburgh Police zones.

Friday, February 8, 2019 Through the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, junior accounting students Kortney Lampel and Gary Mills are gaining experience in tax return preparation and learning firsthand about IRS rules and regulations — all while helping low-to-moderate income families with their taxes.

Honors Program Welcome Week 2018
Tuesday, September 18, 2018 Welcome Week is an opportunity for freshmen and transfer students to arrive on campus one week before classes begin to meet new friends in the program, explore campus and Downtown Pittsburgh. New students are paired with an upperclassmen mentor to help guide them through their college experience.

Business Management Major Leads Homeless Children Awareness Event
Monday, December 9, 2013 Erika Mangual organized a "Stand Up for Homeless Children: A Performance Art Installation" on Point Park University's campus to raise awareness about homelessness in Allegheny Country. Donations from the event went toward school supplies for the Homeless Children's Education Fund.
