Background

Helena Knörr, Ph.D, is a professor in the Rowland School of Business and the Department of Literary Arts and Social Justice at Point Park University, an entrepreneurship professor at the University of Salamanca, Spain, and an HR consultant.

She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in Human Resource Education. Her research field mainly encompasses, among others, issues including entrepreneurship, women in leadership, career development, ethics in the workplace and work-family balance. Also, Knörr serves as a reviewer and consulting editor for several peer- reviewed journals and professional organizations.

Throughout her professional career, she has been mainly involved in developing entrepreneurs through the conduction of workshops addressed to different actors in society and her service as a mentor or consultant. She has developed such tasks in many areas worldwide as the Caribbean region, Central and South America, Europe, Africa and the U.S. In her own words, her mission is “to empower individuals and organizations to thrive in the 21st Century, by providing them with tools, skills and experiences that foster their development."
